Sandpiper was found on a remote island in the Western Ocean by Norscan mariners twenty years ago. He lurked in a ruined and obviously non-human city and his only speech at that time was the fluting call of the sandpipers. When found he was standing over the body of a creature neither man nor serpent but a combination of the two.
His heroism and wit was seen by many on the Faction Quest of 1095.
